Description

Summary of the Lesson 

This session aimed at making the student aware about safe and unsafe people and situations and help them differentiate between good and bad touch and confusing touch. They get sensitised to these touches and know what to do in case of bad touches.

What to Expect 

 

Expect the child to be identified between good touch, bad touch and confusing touch and immediate report instances of bad touch. 

 

Parental Play & Role 

 

Take the child seriously: If the child is indicating that an instance of bad touch may happen, do not take it lightly. 

Safety code words: Ask the child to use these code words to communicate with you when they are in dangerous situations. 

 

Psychology Insight 

 

90 percent of children who are victims of child abuse know their abuser and that about 30 percent of children are abused by family members. Hence, do not believe that only strangers pose the danger, help your child to identify dangerous touches and situations instead of just dangerous people.
