Expect the child to identify cyberbullies, assess the seriousness of the situation and take immediate action by informing the adults around them.
Parental Play & Role
Talk to your child and pay attention to details like- who they interact with, what they do online, how they feel or behave after the interaction,etc.
Reassure the child: Cyberbullying can be hard to deal with, and at times there’s shame and guilt associated with it. Reassure your child that you are there for them and never judge them.
Discuss possible situations: Pose questions to them based on likely scenarios related to cyberbullying and guide them on how you will help them deal with the problems.
