Summary of the lesson 

 

The aim of this lesson was to introduce the student to valued virtues  such as bravery and courage as well as the value of friendship. The student inculcates the importance of being truthful, brave and always standing up and protecting their friends. This is pivotal in developing empathy in early age.

Parental role & play 

 

Encourage strong family bonding: Make sure to spend lots of quality time with your child and help them in inculcating the importance of protecting friends and family. 

 

Be a role model: Whenever you are helping the child or someone else, showcase to the child how you are helping them and how the child can also help others. 

 

Encourage bravery: Instead of stopping the child, let the child explore how to protect themselves and others. Appreciate the child for being courageous. 

 

What to expect 

Expect the child to be more helpful  and look out for others. Also expect them to show the urge to protect others when in need. 

 

Psychology Insight

 

Research has shown that helping others and valuing interpersonal relationships  helps in release of happy hormones in our brain. It also becomes a foundation for inculcating skills like leadership.
