Expect the child to be able to memorise effectively and retrieve the information efficiently. The child may also start to notice underlying logic or patterns behind propositions by using critical analysis.
Parental Play & Role
Learning through flashcards: to help the child memorise better, you can try to help them learn using flashcards. Write the topic on one side and answers on the others and use the flashcards to help the child retrieve the information.
Use retrieval cues such as visuals and audio sounds to enhance retrieval and recall in the child.

Memorization techniques such as chunking, first letter technique, forming a mental picture, among others, have been proven to enhance memory encoding and retention. Help the child to employ these techniques to improve their memory.
