Summary of the Lesson 

 

The aim of this session is to introduce kids to good manners. The kids will learn to recognise what is good behaviour, and one should greet people with courtesy. The session also encourages the child to reflect on how they have behaved and how they should behave in future. The story revolves around two friends Johny(bear) and Mony(monkey) and how they recognize good and bad manners. 

 

What your child will learn

  • To greet people in all situations.
  • To be polite.
  • To recognize and identify bad manners.
  • To practise these manners in the class and think analytically.

How is it going to help your child

 

This session will help the child to develop etiquettes which will help in building a better personality. Civil and pleasing behaviour creates healthy relationships and long- lasting bonds between individuals. 

 

Parent role & play 

 

  • Parents can help the child by reiterating these pointers and reminding the child to use them in day-to day activities.
  • You can give them stickers everytime the child behaves well and you see them following the good manners rule book, this would act as a reinforcement activity.
  • Help the child to understand why good manners are important and ask the child to teach them to younger siblings and friends.

What to expect 

 

  • They will recognize bad manners and will expect from you to do the same.
  • Expect the child to showcase good manners in all situations.

Good manners are basics that children should learn as a part of socialising. Following and behaving accordingly over a period of time adds up in building their personality and character.
