What to Expect
Expect the child to find their happiness in others’ happiness and be grateful and respectful towards others. They will expect the same from you, so you should be an example to them.
Parental Play & Role
Let the child know what everyone does for them: A lot of times children fail to show gratitude simply because they don’t know that others are making any efforts and sacrifices for them. Show your child how everything around them is making their life better.
Encourage them to show gratitude to parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, maid, teachers, neighbours, or anyone who makes their life easier and safer.
Psychology Insight
Gratitude has been linked to higher levels of happiness and hopefulness and an overall increase in the individual’s well being. These individuals are more satisfied and content with their lives.
