Summary of the lesson 

 

In this session the students will learn  from the perpetually happy froggie the importance of being happy in our day-to-day life. The students will understand about happiness and  how they can be happier with a change of outlook towards their life and their daily activities. This invariably makes them emotionally attuned with their own feelings of happiness and thus shapes them towards becoming an emotionally intelligent child and individual.

The child will be able to understand the importance of being happy in their routine life and how it is their responsibility to have a positive outlook to be happy , thus will be motivated to practise gratitude ,have a healthy routine ,  make new friends and do different activities.



Parental Role & Play 

Get happy yourself: Share with them as to what makes you feel happy , reflect happiness in your day to day outlook to reinforce the importance of happiness in their daily lives .

Teach them constructive mental habits: Practising gratitude , indulging in acts of kindness resulting in empathy , hence exploring  additional sources of happiness available to the child.

Validate their emotions: Empathise, label and validate their emotions of anger and sadness and nudge them to find healthy ways to deal with them.

According to studies, happier kids are more likely to turn into successful and accomplished adults . Thus , happiness is a tremendous advantage in a world driven by performance . Make them experience different sources of happiness, whether through the act of charity , harnessing their creativity or even play time with pets .
