Summary of the lesson 

 

The session aimed to bring a sense of clarity to children about different personalities that can be around them through a storyline, introspection, and activities. They realised the meaning of being an introvert and its pros and cons and reflected on their personality type.

• Difference between an introvert and extrovert.
• Pros and cons of being an introvert.
• To remove the misconceptions around introverts.

How is it going to help your child ? 

 

What kind of personality they have and how they think in real-life situations. 

To create a feeling of comfort and acceptance for themselves, if they are an introvert.

An extrovert child gets an insight about why some of their friends are different and show empathy towards them.

 

Parent role and play 

• If you know that your child is an introvert, as a parent, you can talk to them and accept them as they are instead of forcing them to change.
• Help your child find their strengths whether they are an introvert or extrovert by ways of acceptance and experimenting.
• Introduce the kids to different personality types through books and movies or introspect the behaviour of the family members to assess the personality types to understand the concept clearly.

What to Expect 

 

Expect the child to have more clarity on their personality type and acquire the ability to distinguish between introverts and extroverts to deal with them effectively.

 

Psychology  Insight 

 

Introverts are often shown discrimination or judged as closed people but according to research, it is not always that introverts are on their own they can be ambiverts too. They behave according to their acceptance level of the other person. They are better listeners and more empathetic.
