Summary of the lesson 

 

In this session, the child  explores unique yet simple ways in which love can be felt and expressed around them. The child will learn how love is received/given by parents, siblings, friends and pets. Most importantly, the child learns the concept of self love. The child will be empowered with positive coping mechanisms which will help them in developing self-love and becoming independent in the absence of near and dear ones.

How is it going to help your child 

 

The child understands the concept of love and assimilates that love can be expressed in different ways. He/ She learns that not only receiving but also giving love and vice-versa is important.

 

Parental role and play 

 

Reinforce the idea of love in the child's mind: The child is aware of the expression of love and showcases/ demonstrates how love is shared by picking out various examples from day-to-day life.

 

Encourage the child to indulge in activities: It promotes self- love such as enjoying their own company, playing solo games/ painting/ listening to music, etc. 

Validate their urge to be loved:  This will help them form healthy loving relationships in their life.

What to expect 

Expect your child to show their love  in their own  way. They might also be more sensitive and kind  towards their family, friends and other people around them.
